May 8 - 12 Advanced Fused Glass Fritography & Kiln
Casting
9 am - 5pm. O-AT-KA School of Glass, 56 Harvester Ave., Batavia.
A method of painting that was pioneered by the instructor, Michael
Dupille (www.michaeldupille.com), and is the main focus of this
workshop. Working in a fused glass panel format, learn to control
glass color density, shading, line work, as well as the principles
of multiple firing. In this 5-day workshop we will review the
aspects and technique of Fritography and delve deeper into the
process creating unusual shapes with special volume and color
effects. Using these pieces as base materials, we will create
bas relief molds for slumping and casting to give the Fritography
work unique dimension and a character all its own. Fun and informative!
The instructor asks that only those with previous fusing experience
take this class. For more information, contact Lance Taylor at
585.230.7626 or email ltaylor18@rochester.rr.com or visit www.oatkaglass.com.

and using the sewing machine to piece and quilt. Howard LeVant

out of the Bau Haus in Germany. After a time as studio photographer
in Cleveland and commercial photographer in Chicago for such
