artist comments: The canvas for my art pieces are ceiling tiles from the late 1800"s and early 1900's that once adorned many magnificent ceilings. I finish each one with various mediums including stain, and paints. Each piece is unique due to imperfections and patina, the finish work is filled with character. In addition to the ceiling tiles being re-purposed and finished by myself, the frames are also made with reclaimed lumber by my father. Beautiful when hung as a single piece of art or adds a textural element when grouped with art in other mediums
