artist comments: Everything, whether man-made or natural, has order and structure. Structure, and how it is respected, modified, or disrupted, influence and provoke my artistic journey. Watercolor is a unique and misunderstood medium which I study and exploit through non-traditional means. As a result, my abstractions are elusive, simple, and suggestive. While the paint and techniques can continue to be manipulated, my art must come from the soul. I want to capture the subject in the moment, breathing life into it-- allowing the art to live on its own long after the brushes have been put away.
